Book 1942

At this moment, I am working on a new novel set during the Second World War, in the year 1942. The book is a historical fiction, meaning it tells a fictional story while staying firmly grounded in real historical events, locations, and circumstances.

The story unfolds in a Europe under occupation, where fear, secrecy, and moral ambiguity shape everyday life. While the main characters and their personal journeys are fictional, the world they move through is carefully researched to reflect the realities of wartime society, including intelligence services, resistance networks, military operations, and civilian life under constant threat.

The novel places a strong focus on human choices in extreme situations. Themes such as loyalty and betrayal, duty and conscience, and the personal cost of war play a central role throughout the story. Rather than glorifying combat, the narrative explores the psychological and emotional impact of war, both on those who fight and on those who are forced to survive in its shadow.

By blending historical accuracy with a character-driven narrative, this project aims to offer readers an immersive and believable glimpse into life during 1942, while telling a gripping and personal story that could have happened, even if it never officially did.

The App TimeConnect

TimeConnect was created out of a simple love for watches. Not to show status or price, but to focus on the meaning behind them. A watch is more than a brand or a cost. It carries memories, moments and personal stories.

The goal of TimeConnect is to bring people together through those stories. Every watch has value, whether it is an heirloom passed down through family, a first self-bought watch, or a piece linked to an important moment in life. All stories deserve a place.

TimeConnect is built with the community in mind and will continue to grow alongside it. If you encounter problems, notice bugs, or have ideas to improve the app, feedback is always welcome.

You can reach out via Instagram at TimeConnect or by email at jensvanwolput@hotmail.com.

Take your time.
